Mer’s class
Hello! We love you lots! We have five hours of English each day and it is a lot of fun. We like the bikes and the rope course and we like playing tennis and badminton at camp. We are learning the names of the months and days in class and we like drawing pictures. We miss you!
Kelley’s class
In our class we’re working on colors and the days of the week. We’ve been studying the story ‘The Three Billy Goats’ which is really funny! We’re also learning about feelings. Today we did a dance – it was great!
Stephanie’s class
On Monday we wrote in our diaries and wrote sports vocabulary in our dictionaries. On Tuesday, we worked on our Olympics Project and played games. Today we went to Music class. We sang, played instruments, and danced.
Jane’s class
On Monday we drew pictures of our families. We made our own shields and put them on the wall. The next day we made a class picture with our feet and hands. Today we had Drama and went in the theatre.
Jessica’s class
We are loving camp!! English class has been challenging so far but we love learning new words! Our favourite part of camp is the parties!!! We have so much fun. We are looking forward to riding the horses today. It should be great!!
Katie’s class
Our first days in English class have been great! Yesterday we practiced how to introduce ourselves, and learned the names and other information about our classmates. A lot of us are either from or live in Madrid, including the teacher, Katie! A lot of the students like to play sport, too. We went to theatre class with Teacher Lisa two times this week already! We started practicing our play for the Talent Show, and we will present it next Friday for other classes to see. It is going very well, and we are having fun speaking a lot of English!
Helen’s class
The children in Helen´s class have been learning the vocabulary for colours and family. The children took part in a drama workshop this week. They did lots of acting and dancing, they really enjoyed it. The walls in the classroom are brightly covered in lots of the children´s work.
Rebecca’s class
This week so far we have been settling into the new routines of speaking lots of English! We have looked at the primary and secondary colours and have mixed them using our hands. We have practised our numbers as well as learning the animal names. We have enjoyed all the parties on the evenings and we are really enjoying our time here!
Kristin’s class
We have already learned many things in English class. We learned about the emotions and made faces out of plates. He learned about colors with a chant and made big paper hats. On Tuesday we went to Music class where we sang a song about colors and then we danced. We are also having lots of fun with sports and parties after English class
Sara’s class
What are some of our favourite activities at camp?
We really like to play football and circuit. We also like to play archery, badminton, and basketball. After assemblies every night, we go to parties. They are a lot of fun! We liked playing Capture the Flag last night. The boys won!

Alicia’s class
The new kids arrived Sunday afternoon and had their placement test for their English class. Monday all students went to the appropriate level and started with their classes and settled into their routines they will have for the next two weeks. So far everybody loves the food (pasta, French fries, meat, salad, pudding and snacks!). At night they have fun dances and play lots of games with their new friends and monitors. It is sunny as well and so far the favourite activity is to go swimming!!! Some students are sad because they miss their parents, but most are very happy to be at camp!
Robin’s class
We have enjoyed English this week and have enjoyed playing games with the monitors. We are looking forward to watching Ratatouiee and inventing a new meal for Remy´s new menu.
