Forenex Summer Courses

Today in Elena’s class they were discussing the pro and con’s of bull fighting. The class split into 2 groups 1 For and 1 Against, they then wrote their points down on cards which they then attached to a large sheet of paper on the wall.

The class then read out their points and had a vote as to whether they were for or against Bullfighting.

The result was a tie. 8 For 8 Against.

Today Peter’s group were playing a game based on an old English game show called blockbuster.

The rules were quite simple there was a grid of letters on the white board, the students had to choose 1 and come up with the name of the country and the people who lived there. Example Russia and Russians.

It was very tense, boys against girls. It ran down to the last question and the boys ran out of time, allowing the girls to win.

Basketball today was a lot of fun there wee a lot of drills 2 on 2 and 3 on 3, working on passing and shooting. And they finished off with a game.

The tennis players were today practising by playing various games against each other that worked on their shots and placement. Some of the games involved rotation around the net and other invloved blocking the other players shots.

The padel players were working on how to play shots off the wall and general shot returning.

Martina’s class today had their turn at drama with Laura.

There was a lot of exitement in the air and they played several games and finished off with an little performance piece. 

Which they prepared themselves, with Laura only giving them a few ideas on what they had to do.

It was another hot day in the sun, most of the students chilled in the sun with the monitors.

Some however, played basketball with the teachers.

Whatever they dii they had fun, then it was time for class again

Yellows were today working on their dribbling skills using zig zag drills.

Stretching out with a little warm up.

The coach set out a zig zag using cones and then demonstated what was expected, The students performed these drills very well.

Then the students did a few three on three drills to futher improve their all round ball skills.

Basketball with the greens today consisted of drills working on ball skill, in this game the students had to pass the ball over their head and run to the back, this continued up to a line and back.

Then they played a full court game using the full size baskets.  It was a lot of fun to watch and all of the students and the coaches had lots of fun.

Then they finished with a go greens.  

Drama saw Sophia’s class being very creative with both costumes and their performance pieces.

They had been given a list of expressions and phrases which they had to include within their piece.

The pieces they came up with were very different from each other and very well thought out.

Everyone had fun and thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

Atiba’s class had been working on a class project, where they had to make up there own mutant.

They had to give it a name and describe what it looked like and where it lived.

The drawings were very creative as were the mutants.
